Chloe is a writer, storyteller, and director based in Melbourne, Australia. Originally from New Zealand, Chloe acknowledges her culture and background as a child of first-generation migrants with her Chinese name — Tsu Mei.
She is passionate about making female-centric storytelling a norm, rather than a quota. To have women telling their own narratives, producing their own agency, directing their own stories. She is particularly passionate about the authentic portrayal of sexual identity and ethnic diversity in any form of media.
With a background in Pharmacy, Chloe is completing the Advanced Diploma of Screenwriting at RMIT, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Writing and Literature at Deakin University. Most recently, she completed short film Secret Gaygent, a proof-of-concept comedy which she wrote and directed.
Her writing has been published in Overland and Visible Ink, and in Cinespace’s Screenwriters Toolkit as part of the Social Change on Screen Fellowship.
Currently in the works is a comedy web series inspired by her Pharmacy career.
